The bollywood beauty will make a special appearance in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited magnum opus “Padmavati”.
Whenever Ash and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have come together, there’s been magic on the screen. Their collaboration to come out with marvels like ‘Devdas’, ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ and ‘Guzaarish’. The actress-director duo has always rocked the silver screen and this is the very reason that everyone has been waiting for them to collaborate yet again.
As per the latest reports, Bhansali has written a special appearance and a song sequence with the former Miss World in mind for his next film, Padmavati. The film features Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the lead and Aditi Rao Hydari in a supporting role.
“Bhansali spoke to Ash and they both are really keen to make it work. The song will be filmed during a 15-20 day schedule, which includes rehearsals at a suburban studio. Ash also has a few dialogues,” reveals a source close to the development.
The movie, based on an Indian epic, traces the obsession of Khilji for Rani Padmini, who’s married to Ratan Singh. In order to escape the clutches of the evil ruler, Padmini burns herself.
The 43-year-old actress was last seen in Karan Johar’s Diwali release, “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”, opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
