On Monday evening, a video of a BSF jawan went viral on the Internet.
n the video, the army-man named Tej Bahadur Yadav complained that they are not given enough to eat and supplies meant for them are taken away by “corrupt officers”.
Yadav, a BSF jawan, has been deployed across the Indo-Pakistan border in Jammu and Kashmir and in the video he put across visuals of bad quality food that they receive and are even forced to go “empty stomach”. His allegations have led to an inquiry by the BSF even as some within the forces have called Yadav a “bad hat”.
Now with the videos going viral and getting plenty of media attention, bollywood actors, sports persons have also expressed their displeasure and concern over the treatment of the jawans.
The heartbreaking video has been viwed and shared by millions and Bollywood actors like Varun Dhawan, Riteish Deshmukh and Farhan Akhtar have come out in support of the jawans.

Please let’s address this issue immediately.. without politicising it and without villifying this jawan for speaking up. https://t.co/8q4imWhvoo

One needs guts to release a video of this kind. Imagine the amount of adversities our soldiers must be going through that compelled this man to address this issue inspite of knowing that it might affect his career. I have experienced a percent of hardships they face, through #NCC, that I was an active part of as a youth. I have had watery daal (lentil soup); a yellow watery preparation with freely floating pieces of carrots in it, which they defined as sabzi and hard Frisby like chapatis. No, I’m not complaining! I’m proud of my experiences and the confidence I got during the process, but I know where this man is coming from. Here’s where we lack! Our #army, #police and other #forces ‘should be’ the most well-paid and well-treated proffessions so that they are content, highly motivated and are secured about the status of the families dependent on them. If they are taken care of, they would always be ready to protect, they would never resort to corruption as for them any bribe would be below their stature and honour. Things are improving… I hope our forces are taken care of not only on #SocialMedia but also in practice. (PS: It’s not about who’s right and who’s wrong. It’s about, what should be done for better functioning.) …… #HappyForces #HappyNation #FullWalletNoPlaceForBribe #PamperTheProtectors #AcchhaPakwaanJawaanBalwaan
I have seen a video regarding a BSF jawan’s plight. I have asked the HS to immediately seek a report from the BSF & take appropriate action.
